ダイビングの盛んなタヒチ・ランギロア島で、リノベーションのため長い間休業している「ホテル・キアオラ」。
「再開時期は未定です」と、なんとも南の島だなぁ…と思うインフォメーションだったのですが。

TOURISM. In these times of crisis tourism, speculation is rife, to the dismay of some professionals. The Kia Ora Rangiroa is under renovation and will reopen in September 2011, providing its owners.
THE BASICS
・The Kia Ora is renovated for a total of two billion Fcfp
・The hotel will remain closed until September 2011, the date set for reopening
・A dozen companies working on the renovation
Although tourism is flourishing, the director of Kia Ora Hotel, located in Rangiroa, ensures that the facility will reopen. Currently closed for renovation, rumors were already saying that this hotel did not reopen.
"Yes!" Insists Gerard Garcia, Director, and Anthony of FITEC Viardot. "All the administrative and financial approvals are obtained. The project has started, follow the work schedule established by Pierre-Jean Picart, the architect, with an official reopening in September 2011. We got the local tax exemption in late 2009 and National in April, a bank consortium consisting of Bank of Tahiti and Socredo issued its final funding agreement ", say the two men, hoping to end the rumors.
The program for this like new: the reconstruction of the garden bungalows, renovation of overwater bungalows, construction of transit fare, the reconstruction of the staff housing, reconstruction of the fare diving, complete renovation of the bar and terrace , renovation of kitchens, building a Teppanyaki restaurant and a spa, the resumption of electricity networks, sanitation and irrigation, and finally improving the landscaping. It is a sacred facelift for this property was built in 1972 to 1973. Aging spares no one, not even the walls. And this hotel is closing its doors, it is undergoing a good grooming. The company that owns the hotel, the Hotel Kia Ora SA, chose the second option. The site was officially launched on June 21 while the Kia Ora had closed its doors in January.
Some hotel employees are still on site while others were laid off during the work. At the reopening, Gerard Garcia hopes to return at least 80 people to work in his establishment. But that will depend on the state sector in September 2011.
